She pursued postgraduate work in Clinical Nutrition and in 1989 did a dietetic internship at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center, which enabled her to become a Registered Dietitian. Working at Saint John's has given her the chance to make a difference in people's lives and also to learn new ways to reach people with different barriers or styles of learning.
