Title
Hypopituitarism in Retired Professional Football Players
Purpose
Determine the relationship between the number of concussions sustained during the career of a professional football player and the impact these injuries have on pituitary function, sexual function and quality of life.
Determine the benefits of hormone replacement therapy if low hormone level are found to be present.
Eligibility
Recruitiment of retired professional football players is done through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in conjunction with the National Football League Players Assoc.
Treatment
Diagnosis and referral for treatment of pituitary deficiency.
