Pilocytic Astrocytoma

Pilocytic Astrocytoma:  A slow growing benign glioma that occurs primarily in children (in the first 20 years) and involves the midline, basal and posterior fossa structures. These tumors are often partly cystic (filled with fluid) and solid and tend to be well circumscribed. Primary treatment usually involves surgical removal.  Learn more.
