Saint John’s surgeons and physicians have been actively involved in the development of some of the word’s leading spine treatments, implants and technology. Among those exciting advances are devices that prop up a narrowed spinal canal, relieving pressure on compressed nerves. New artificial discs allow for the return of normal mobility as an alternative to traditional fusion of vertebrae, which typically results in limited movement.
